We respond to all inquiries within one business day and schedule a site visit from there. The site visit is 30 to 60 minutes, includes a lot walk-through and measurements, and is the right starting point for any project (new build, replacement, repair, or just an exploratory conversation about options).
What to send when you reach out
A short description of what you're considering, photos if you have them, and the city the property is in. The more we know going into the site visit, the more useful the conversation will be. Specifically:
- A couple of photos of the back yard or the existing deck
- Rough dimensions if you know them (otherwise we measure on site)
- The city and neighborhood (we serve Salt Lake City and 7 Wasatch Front service areas)
- A note on what you want the deck to do (new construction, replacement, repair, refinish, railing upgrade, pergola or patio cover)
None of this is required. A phone call with no prior information gets the same response time as a fully detailed inquiry. The information helps us prep, but it doesn't gate the conversation.
Response time expectations
We respond to all inquiries within one business day. During peak season (March through August), site visits are typically scheduled within 7 to 10 days of the initial contact. During the shoulder months (October through February), site visits are usually available within 3 to 5 days.
Written quotes follow the site visit within one week. There's no charge for the consultation or the quote, and we don't require a deposit to receive a written quote.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We're a licensed and insured custom deck builder serving Salt Lake County. General liability and worker's comp coverage are in place on every project, and we provide certificates of insurance on request before work begins.
Do I need to commit to anything to get a quote?
No. The site visit and written quote are free, with no deposit required. We'll walk through your project, give you a realistic timeline and cost, and you decide whether to proceed.
What if I just want a price ballpark before scheduling a site visit?
Call us and we'll talk through it. We can usually give a rough range over the phone based on your project description, materials interest and rough size. Site visits exist to produce accurate written quotes, not to gate the price conversation.
